Marble · Rosso Levanto
A warm limestone that reads in straight horizontal grain rather than veining. The open pores are filled and honed to a soft matte, so it stays quiet under lamplight instead of bouncing it back. This is the easiest of our stones to live with. It sits happily next to oak, boucle and brushed brass, and it takes the chill off a room that leans grey.

The piece
Two rectangular volumes stacked and pushed out of line with each other, so it looks like a different object depending on where you stand. An S from the front. Two blocks in profile. A solid cube from behind. At 65 cm it is the tallest thing we make, and the shift between the volumes leaves an open shelf under the top.

Styling it
At 65 cm this is taller than a normal side table, so it reads more like a pedestal. Good beside a high-armed chair, or with a tall bed where a standard nightstand would sit too low.
Caring for Rosso Levanto
Polished Rosso is dense and low-porosity. Dust with a soft dry cloth and avoid acidic cleaners (citrus, vinegar, descalers) which will dull the polish.
