A dark green marble webbed with fine white veins. The green is deep enough to read as near black across a room, and it only opens up into green when you get close or when sun falls across it. It sits well with plaster walls, oak and anything brass.

The piece

A 30 by 30 cm top and a base of exactly the same size, held apart by a single upright slab. Seen from the end it is an I. Seen from the front it is a plane of green marble with the veining running across it uninterrupted. The Indian Green reads almost black until light hits it.

Styling it

The 30 cm base slides under a sofa or an armchair, so the top can sit over the seat edge where you actually want it. It is the darkest piece we make, so give it a pale wall behind it.

Caring for Indian Green

Wipe with a soft dry cloth and use a neutral pH stone cleaner for marks. Keep it out of long contact with citrus and wine, and re-seal every 18 months.
